Over the years many celebrities have gotten married with orchid bouquets clutched in their hands. Web site Love Tripper recalls that Marilyn Monroe married Joe Di Maggio (pictured here) carrying a very simple bouquet that consisted of three pure white orchids.
Another famous celebrity who carried a bouquet of white orchids was Elizabeth Taylor when she married her first husband, Conrad “Nicky” Hilton, in 1950. All My Children star Alexa Havins gussied up her bouquet of white orchids by having them preserved and decorated with real white diamonds. White orchids were also seen in the bouquets of Princess Diana and her successor Camilla Parker Bowles.
