According to an article by Michele Kraus that was published in Favor Ideas, the biggest trend in bridal bouquets is to accessorize - including charms, family heirlooms and even photographs in the bouquet. Swarovski crystals are also still very much in vogue, particularly in the form of charms or brooches that are actually pinned to the bouquet.

Another trend is to make the bridal bouquet huge and shrink the size of the bridesmaid bouquets. This is a reversal in the trend of the past few years that had the bridesmaids carry slightly larger blooms. 

There is also a trend for bridesmaids to carry silk flowers, which are less expensive then the flowers in the bride’s bouquet.Â
