White Phalaenopsis OrchidsIf you want a wedding bouquet that is made from a real orchid that has the aroma and elegance of a tropical treasure, than you should consider a Phalaenopsis orchid. These flowers are enormous, white (or pink) and they match almost any type of wedding theme. In fact many brides use this orchid as the theme for the rest of the décor of their wedding.

The exotic phalaenopsis orchid is a very popular choice for today’s brides. This past year, Eva Longoria carried a bouquet of phalaenopisis orchids when she married Tony Parker. Last year Katie Holmes carried a gigantic bouquet of this type of orchids when she married Tom Cruise.

According to the people at Budget Dream Weddings, if you are on a budget then you might not be able to afford having a bouquet made only of these gigantic blossoms. You may have to settle for having just a couple of them in your bouquet. Miniature varieties of this orchid also look good in trailing bouquets.

These orchids also look great with many different types of flowers including peonies, roses and hydrangeas. They also go well with ivy and bright greenery. They do not look as good with daisies, carnations, mums or baby’s breath as they have quite sleek lines to them.

The key is not to overdo it. An entire bouquet of orchids is nice - but a bouquet of less expensive flowers - designed to showcase 2 or 3 orchids can be just as stunning and much less costly.
