If you want your bridesmaid to carry bouquets but you do not want their bouquets to outshine your own then you might consider taking a good look at the Romanian tradition, which is to wear a wrist corsage.

These wrist corsages can be quite beautiful. Usually, a satin or velvet ribbon is wrapped around the wrist and the fresh flowers themselves are bundled in a nest of chiffon. Sometimes the chiffon is cut loosely in leaf shapes.

Miniature flowers look best attached to this kind of wrist corsage. Good choices for making one are miniature roses, miniature callas, violets, daisies and any flower that is small enough to fit on a wrist. You can even use a band of very small roses to make an incredible looking circlet of roses that can be worn by the bridesmaids. Miniature carnations might also look good on the wrist especially if they have been tinted to match the gowns worn by the bridesmaids.

Sometimes just one flower is used in the creation of a true Romanian wrist corsage. The blossom in this case extends so that it is showcased on the back of the hand.

You can also get this type of bridesmaid wrist corsage created in almost any color. Miniature roses and callas are now available in every color of the rainbow including bright orange, deep purple, crimson, baby pink and blue.
