If you are getting married in Hawaii or are from the state, it’s likely that you’re considering ordering an authentic Hawaiian wedding bouquet. These bouquets are incredible, with a deep purple and yellow color scheme that is distinctly Tiki in flair.
The spiky king protea flower supplies the yellow in this bouquet, which is a huge blossom. The outside fronds are mustard yellow and the inside of the blossom is more of a light green. A flower in the same family, called a pin cushion protea, supplies the brilliant purple in this authentic style of Hawaiian bouquet. More purple blooms are supplied by orchid sprays and anthuriums.
The orchids and the aruthuriams give the bouquet a bit of a dangle that will move nicely down the aisle with you. It is also traditional to wrap this bouquet with a bright yellow ribbon that matches the central sunny yellow king protea flower. Needless to say this wedding bouquet goes well with weddings that have a purple and yellow theme.
If you order this type of bouquet from a Hawaiian distributor like Aliflowers, they will usually send you a box with the flowers carefully packed in plastic and water. You are sent the ribbon and supporting stick and will have to assemble it yourself. Sometimes you may receive orchids or arthurium that are pinker in color during certain times of the year. The trouble of assembling this type of wedding bouquet is worth it for the beauty and the gorgeous aroma of the flowers.

can you please help????
Carmel,
I would suggest doing a search on Google for “King Protea flower” and “U.K.” - I did that and turned up this site http://www.floralhaven.co.uk/c31301/Tropical-Flowers.html (which I don’t know personally so don’t take this as an endorsement!) but if you call a number of sites, you will likely find one that can help you out. Also, you could look up “Hawaiian Wedding Flowers” online - many florists will ship flowers from Hawaii all around the world. Good luck! And congratulations! –Melissa
